Environmental Awareness
Superior Cabinets meets requirements in the following categories:
1. Air Quality
Most of the particleboard, MDF, and plywood we use meets the emission level requirements of CARB (California Air Resource Board).
2. Product Resource Management
Most of the particleboard, MDF, and hardboard we use meets the CPA EPP 3-08 specifications for recycled/recovered fiber content.
Superior uses a written training plan to educate suppliers about its preference for purchasing certified hardwood lumber.
3. Process Resource Management
We have a comprehensive recycling program throughout our facilities for cardboard, paper, plastic, wood, solvents and metal.
4. Environmental Stewardship
We have shown a firm commitment to environmental quality as evidence by a written policy statement, continuous review of environmental policy/practices with key vendors, and contractors.
5. Community Relationships
Superior Cabinets has supported Habitat for Humanity (our corporate cause) for many years.
We support a number of other organizations that focus on creating positive changes in the lives of families in our community.
